The MicroTrend Trap exhibit explores the impact of 2023 fashion microtrends, uncovering the cultural, environmental, & personal costs they leave behind. The exhibit invites visitors to see how social media & fast fashion accelerate trend cycles, question the pressures of conformity & embrace, lasting personal style. The key takeaway is style is not defined by trends, & chasing microtrends leads to overconsumption. Embrace what makes you, you. In collaboration with two classmates in the design program.
