The MicroTrend Trap exhibit explores the impact of 2023 fashion microtrends, uncovering the cultural, environmental, and personal costs they leave behind. The exhibit invites visitors to see how social media and fast fashion accelerate trend cycles, question the pressures of conformity and embrace, lasting personal style. The key takeaway is style is not defined by trends, & chasing microtrends leads to overconsumption. Embrace what makes you, you. In collaboration with two classmates in the design program.
